Behind the Roots
How is it already the second month of 2026? I still feel a little unprepared for this year, but that changes today. I put together a list of goals that I do not just hope will happen, I am ready to make them happen. I shared them in my latest YouTube video, where I tried a new format with a work and chat vibe (hopefully you like it!).
I also share exciting news about two upcoming exhibitions I am a part of!
New Growth is a peek at what I’m excited to explore in the studio this week.
1.BADDIES ASSEMBLED ~ I am officially done assembling the December Bantu Baddie preorders. They are currently drying before heading into the bisque firing. And good news, I made extras. That means another preorder is coming sometime this month! You have been warned.
2.FIRING MY KILN ~ Okay, for real this time. I need to get this first firing over with and stop being such a scaredy cat. It will get done. It is the second month of 2026 and we have things to handle! I am planning to film the whole first firing, so stay tuned.
3.COILED SERIES RETURNS ~ I know, I know, you are probably wondering what happened to the Coiled Series. Life happened. But we are back in production and new episodes are coming soon. HOT TIP: We might be working on two pieces this time.
